This site hosts analysis of datasets describing coral and sponge reefs and the fish that make their homes there.
For our project, we chose two datasets - Deep-Sea Corals and CRCP Reef Fish Surveys Hawaii. With them, we wanted to inform the general public and those interested in learning more about reefs about underwater ecosystems. We wanted to be able to answer questions about coral/sponge types, the diversity of fish within them, their locations, and their depths. We accomplished those goals and answered many questions regarding ocean life. With making this website, we hope to spike the interest and educate our audience to recognize the importance of underwater ecosystems and possibly even donate to help underwater ecosystems.
